This is such a relatively-new machine, may I ask why you're selling it?

A move back to portabilty beckons. It does everything I need and more BUT I can't take it on the train to work. I need to finance a new Powerbook so something has to go. And the wife is worth very little so it has to be the imac.

I'll register my interest - I've been thinking of getting an iMac, and at this price the case becomes very compelling! The only downside is the lack of internal BT, so I suppose a dongle will have to do. Will have funds available as early as tomorrow and definately by Monday.
Were abouts are you based by the way mootpoint?

I am in sunny County Down, Northern Ireland.
I have sold an ibook to Fredstar and Chimera on these very forums. I'm sure they won't mind you PM'ing them to verify me and of their satisfaction of my descriptions.
The price is rock bottom and a bargain in my opinion. The added 256mb module
makes the machine a good bit quicker.

Heh, bit far for me to travel to pick up :D
Still definately interested though. Would you be sending it Special delivery? And I don't suppose you know if I added a usb dongle to the iMac it would be usable through the normal OS X BT icon on the task bar?
Oh, and how would you like payment to be made? PayPal I could definately do tomorrow...

Collection would be a fair travel for you!!
It is over the 10kg limit for Special Delivery (it is 13.6kg boxed) so it will be via Parcelforce 24 before noon insured for £2500.
Hate paypal, sorry. Bank transfer best for me. A cheque is ok but will have to clear obviously. Cash via Special Delivery has been an option in the past.
Can't answer your usb dongle question as I have no experience of doing that, sorry.
Obviously it has been updated to 10.3.8. I can re-install the original discs and leave it all set up at 10.3.5 or put it back up to 10.3.8 (broadband is handy at 2meg). Up to you. I'll remove all my bits on it obviously unlerss you want some rather sad 70's prog rock on itunes.

Bank Transfer it is then. First thing on Monday morning ok?
A clean install would be good, I'll be putting everything from my powerbook onto it (gotta love firewire disk mode) so switching it on clean with setup would be the best option.
Can't say 70s prog rock is my thing :D

I do this with my iBook and it works in exactly the same way as the internal on my iMac.

Cheers Benji, as I'll be using a USB hub as well, you've just removed my only nagging doubt about the iMac!
mootpoint, will keep you informed about the transfer when I get your details!
