iPod USB2 charging?

im thinking of buying an iPod Mini and flogging my old one to my girlfriend. only she hasnt got a Firewire port.

all'st im asking is can the 3G iPod be charged via USB2 or is it a lost cause? or even USB1?

if not she'll have to get herself a FW card or something 😀
