Hello,

So I picked up this MacBook on eBay and it had this problem where it would randomly go into sleep mode. Powered on just fine and worked just fine except just decides to randomly sleep.

So I replaced the battery connector. When I took the old battery connector off I noticed it looks pretty fried/charred on the board where the pins go. I use a little alcohol to clean it up and replace the power connector. Now it won't power on at all . Nothing.

So I replaced the Magsafe connector too. Still no joy.

Any suggestions? Already been through the troubleshooting guide.

Thanks in advance.
Michael

Are you sure the new mag safe adapter is all connected properly? Does the light appear on the adapter when connected to power?
