Yes. With both of those options enabled, it could take a verrrry long time.
I personally would have just gone with the zeroes. A new buyer is unlikely to have the curiosity & skills necessary to retrieve whatever fragments of data remain.
Try forgetting about it and doing something else with your day while it gets on with it -- a watched pot never boils.
