Free is good. I love all of these editing options. I have been using Splice lite and have been impressed by it, despite all of the crashes. I haven't tried imovie but something about the $5 throws me off, and I'm not cheap. I will give Vimeo a try

According to Vimeo's announcement (http://vimeo.com/blog:398)

PS- Yes, we plan on building an iPad and Android app! First we want to get the iPhone version as stable and full featured as possible, then bring all that goodness to other platforms.

I just tested the new vimeo iPhone 4 app and for a FREE video editing app it works great. Way to go vimeo!

I'm more excited about the management side of the app. We use Vimeo to host all the content on our website and will be great to manage it via an app vs mobile web page.

Any word on if this will make every video viewable via mobile now? Always has been a pet peeve of mine to try and watch a video that didn't have mobile support (on Vimeo or YouTube).

It can't load on iPad 1. It says it requires a camera.
Anyways, I don't have any real use for it at this time. Maybe later. I think the same iMovie on iPad1 workaround can be applied.

Can someone who has the iPhone iMovie app and this new Vimeo app post a quick comparison of the two? Just curious to hear about ease of use, features, and an overall recommendation. :)

Yes. Both are similar paradigms. But the iMovie app is pretty much useless. The vimeo app is robust and fast. Just picking out media on the iPhone is slow as bejeezus. And editing it is even slower. I don't know what is wrong with it. Maybe all the pointless thumbnail images it uses. No thumbnails on vimeo. Lots of features as you dig down a little too. And I think you can use any media on your phone, not just video you shot with your phone.
