I was very pleased to see "The Incredibles" win for Best Animated feature film. Go Steve and Pixar. The thought went through my mind if Steve might be there to see his film win, but my wife said no.

I believe this is what he says (from Trowaman), I think he meant for it to be funny.
"Don't feel bad for the Pixar people they own iPod stock"
~Robin Williams before he anounced the winner.

Actually, that Robin's quote is kinda funny!
As to thanking Jobs, he probably sent out a memo telling them to say it and is rejoicing tonight in the fact that ThinkSecret didn't leak it before the Oscars!!!
:D

I think that Robin Williams is one of the good guys. After all he shows his love for the MAc by visiting MWSF and local Apple Store. Just a line said jest.

If there was anything got up my nose about the Oscars it was Chris Rock. I just don't get it.
They try to make the perfect evening, right? The women in beautiful dresses, the men in tuxedos, bright lights, red carpet, tall champagne glasses, orchestra, recognition of achievement. And then who do they get to host it?
An obnoxious whiny little snot like Chris Rock.
I honestly think it is some kind of cosmic joke against the universe. A finger in the eye of people who think life can be good. It is like spending years tending the perfect garden and then deliberately planting a giant weed right in the middle just to spite life. It has meaning when you do that, I don't believe for a minute it is accidental.

An obnoxious whiny little snot like Chris Rock.I thought he was good. He brought energy and a different angle. At least he wasn't afraid to go after a few of the Hollywood fakers like Colin Farrel. A few "off-color" jokes (pun intended) but you'd rather have...who? Whoopi? Please. You didn't think that movie theater interview segment was funny? Best movie of the year: WHITE CHICKS! I like watching the Oscars too but its overly-self-congratualatory tone needs to be tamped down a tad, and Chris Rock was just the guy to do it. I think partly because of that, I wasn't as annoyed with the ceremony this year as in some previous years.

They did that knowing fully well what you refer to. Ratings are way down for these kinds of shows and the choice of Rock was to go overboard hoping that will bring in some (lucrative) younger viewers.
