Starting April 2, 2005, XM will be increasing their rate to $12.95 a month! After buying the expensive equipment, paying the activation fee, and then paying a monthly fee, I think the raising of the monthly rate will frighten off people considering XM (and tick off current subscribers) because they may be afraid the rates will rise again and wont be worth the money (AKA Cable TV). I know they are adding in an extra channel (that most, including me, wont listen to) and they are adding in XM online which is implemented exactly like Sirius's online radio, but both are a terrible implementation IMO.

Let XM know you don't want to see the rates increase! Its better to do something then to see our money wasted!
