Will the PC ipod work on BOTH a pc and a mac?
I have both and that would be a really great feature.
Also what does the PC bundle of the ipod lose over the Mac version (I noticed it gains the musicmatch software and what I believe is an ilink to firewire converter)?
Also which ipod would you recommend the 10gb (I believe its a little lighter and smaller) or the 20gb?
One last thing, how many years can I expect the battery to last without getting ruined (ie. memory effect etc..), and what kind of maintnance should I expect to do on ipod?

no, it wont work on both

read the apple iPod FAQ...it outlines compatability. If you have a PC and a Mac, get a mac iPod and use XPlay from mediafour.com to use your iPod on your PC.

I read an article that said the PC iPod will only work with a PC and the Mac iPod will only work with a mac. The PC iPod contains slightly different software that can be read only by a machine running windows.
