Amazed at how crappy the battery life got after updating first to 4.3 then to 4.3.1.

Battery seemed to be much much better before.

I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch, and the battery life significantly worsened after updating to any of the iOS 4 versions. Went back to iOS 3 and things improved.

I noticed this yesterday. My 3Gs was at 41%, and after about 30 minutes of web browsing, it was down to 5%, where as 40% would normally last me an entire day. This is the first time I have actually had a dramatic battery impact that ive noticed so quickly after a software update.

It has sucked since I've upgraded it from 4.2.1. I was hoping 4.3.1 would improve the battery life but I haven't noticed much of a change.

The iPod Touch 2G doesn't have the proper hardware to use iOS 4. It's just too slow and laggy.

Battery life is horrible on my ipod touch (3rd gen) since updating to 4.3 and 4.3.1. same is true for my iphone 4.

since this is an ipod forum, i'll stick with the former...

i used to see 1 week+ of life out battery on my ipod touch...now that i have my ipad2, the ipod touch sees little use, yet in 3 days of no use (no location services or notifications on, ping disabled, and mail fetched only manually), i saw the battery life drop to 50% in only 3 days of just sitting there. prior to 4.3, such behavior would show a battery in the high 80% range.
