Hello all -
I am aware that with the iPod "Classic", you can use a 3rd-party app (such as YamiPod) to access the device and move files back and forth to the Mac.
I'm also aware that [at least when it was first introduced] you COULD NOT do this with the iPod Touch -- in other words, you HAD TO use iTunes to activate it and communicate with it (when tethered to the Mac).
My question:
Since its introduction, has anyone developed a simple 3rd-party app by which one can connect and manipulate the iPod Touch on the Mac?
Or... is iTunes still the ONLY way to do this?
Aside:
I never cared for the way iTunes catalogs music and still don't. I have a collection of many gigabytes of music, and NONE of it is handled through iTunes.
It's just me, I guess....
