I want the clock at the top-right hand corner of mac to say: "Mar 4 10:10" Why can't I have it show the frickin' date in there. Windows can do it! this is driving me nuts.
You can show the day of the week, but not the date. My beef is why I can't append "Hrs." to my 24-hour clock, I could do it in 10.0,.1, and .2 not to mention OS9 or Windows.

Have a look on www.versiontracker.com - and search for clocks :)

If you click on the time you can see the date in the menu.

I don't quite get this.
Why you need to append the letters 'Hrs' to 14:05 is completely beyond me...

MenuCalenderClock Sort of works...
I used to have it but it was shareware. It puts a little icon with the day in it in the menubar along with the standard 12:00 PM.
Also, It runs parallel with ical, so that when you click on the item in the menubar a calender drops down.

Because, without the "Hrs." I sometimes forget what the actual time is. Not to mention letting others use my computer, they don't get it without the "Hrs."

Sometimes, when I'm not paying attention, I'll confuse 15:52 with 5:52pm. It was nice to have the "Hrs." so I wouldn't make that mistake again.

ok, i undertsand.
I got confused sometimes when i was introduced to the am/pm notation.
We learn analog and 24hrs notation in primary school here.
Good luck on your search for the Hrs to add.

Extremely customizable clock software with some nice bells and whistles.
