Dell Monitor

I'm looking at buying a Viewsonic A90f+, but what concerns me is that the resolution is this:

IBM compatible from VGA up to 1600x1200

Power Mac G3/G4 up to 1024x768

Is there are way around this so I can get the 1600x1200 that I want?

Sorry wasn't thinking when I wrote the title and now it's to later to change it to Viewsonic Monitor. So does anyone have any experience with Viewsonic Monitors. I have a Viewsonic Plasma and love it.
