I'm gonna say...
Nintendo 64.
One of the original systems for 3D and instant load games for certain levels/sub-levels. I still play 007 often (recently, about every day), even with the slow graphics. Actually, because the 94MHz processor/memory/whatever can't always keep up with the sound/visuals, I can do some rather comical stuff in the game.

the best game console I ever played was the original NES system. They did some cool stuff with the graphics, and the game play was just awesome. I just can't get into all these new games. more attention seems to be put on visuals then how much fun the game is to play. I know there are exceptions to that, but I really loved the NES (still works to). The old atari's were pretty cool as well.
that said, super mario kart for the N64 is one of the best games I've ever played (even though it is way too short)

N64 is great. The controller is among the most comfortable i've ever used. But i have to say that i like PS2 just as much, if not more. Its just an amazing overall system. Great games, great graphics, plus, it looks cool and doesn't weigh 65 pounds, unlike some other game consoles *cough* um xbox. Personally, i am addicted to the Tony Hawk series, among many, many, others:)

I agree. Times spent playing Mario Kart and James Bond on N64 were some of the best for me but the PS2, niiiiiiiiice system. I could actually watch the little glowing orbs fly around the screen all day I think.
I actually liked Dreamcast for one game: Soul Calibur. I can't wait for SC2 to come out on the consoles.

SNES was my favorite system until PS2. PS2 rocks, but then again so does SNES.

We'll have to play it sometime, I only remember playing Atari once, a long time ago.

Yes, I was in the SNES habit for three or four years, when the first thing I did when I got up was play nintendo, and the first thing I would do when I got home was play nintendo (until star trek NG came on). Those were the days.:)
