Hey everyone,

My sister recently got a new G5 iMac and the kids were trying to play some older games that they got from the library. Unfortuneatly, the games were made for OS 8 and 9. So I figure, no problem. Just turn on Classic and the games should work just fine.

The problem is that OS 9 wasn't pre-loaded onto the iMac and they don't have any separate OS 9 install CDs. There were 2 disc included; a Software restore and another CD. How does one go about installing OS 9 onto an iMac without an install CD?

I checked Apple's specs for the iMac and it states that "Mac OS X version 10.3 “Panther,” includes Classic environment", so I'm thinking that OS 9 should have been installed or at least included.

Any comments or answers? Thanks!

It's slightly hidden as an Install custom option on one of the disks...
It will be there, though.
WOW! That was quick. Thanks. I'll tell my Brother-in-Law about it. He's still under the 90-day phone support, so maybe Apple could talk him through it.

Thanks.
