I am trying to upgrade my RAM by max 512MB

I am currently using the first of the G4 dome models at 800mhz. My 256RAM went off the wall so I am running off an old 128 from my old PC that luckily worked, which as you know is far far far too slow. I have already bought a PC133 peice of 512 that doesn't work, and even the replacement doesn't work. I can't find any info on the ram options other than i need, PC133, 512MB.

However, I did find info on SO DIMM ram that should fit on my base socket, however does anyone know how many pins this is, Im reckoning 144pin. I need to make sure because I have found local cheapish prices and cheaper prices that mean long distance delivery, so I want reliable advice so I don't have to return the product.

thanks

I'm not sure if this is your model, but it could help. Everymac.com has almost every bit of information for each model that has been produced.

If you need ram, go to www.crucial.com and they have a great tool where you use the drop down menu's to pick your mac, and then crucial.com tells you what ram they have for your particular mac. Its a great option, and crucial.com are really cheap compared to the macwarehouses.

if u are in the UK try www.crucial.com/uk
