I've been searching around for help but think I may not find a solution..

I'm trying to get my old Linotype / Heidelberg ULTRA scanner to work either on my tangerine ibook ( OS 9 ) or G4 powerbook ( OS X ). It's a great scanner but unfortunately it's a SCSI connection and the software is all OS 9.

I bought an Entrega U1-SC25 ( I beleive a version of a Xircom ) USB / SCSI like this one :

and downloaded a driver like this one :

http://support.intel.com/support/peripherals/xc/portgear/converters/scsi/sb/CS-017202.htm

My machine's won't find it. I have heard this is very common particularily with scanners.

Is there any way I'll get the old scanner to work with the new USB Macs ? I'd be very reluctant to loose it as it's so good for flat artwork.

Some help would be great..

BB / UK
