Hi,

So I have an Seagate 300GB external HD, formatted to Fat32(DOS) and a folder labeled Video. It works just fine when I plug into PS3, it is recognized and will play my files.

I also have another Western Digital 500GB external HD, formatted same way, same folder inside. But my ps3 will not recognize this one? Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

Use Disk Utility to check its Partition Map Scheme.

It says "Apple Partition Map" How would I change it to the GUID? I have tried erasing it, restoring, etc... but nothing changes...

Thank you,

Thank you,

Disk Utility > Select HDD >> go to the "Partition" tab >>> Select a "Volume Scheme" to enable the "OPTIONS" button on the bottom >>>> click the "Options" button and select GUID.
