That's really too sad. I hope some day they will find the funding again..... hopefully by that time we will find many more potential planets.

Just like the computations - is there a way we can buy the receivers and gather the signals at home - then pump the data onto the 'net?

i'm really sad to hear this. SETI is how i got started with distributed computing. hopefully they'll be back up soon

If you SETI guys' CPUs are just dying not running at 100% 24/7, I know a Folding@Home team that would be very welcoming of new members. ;)
