Hi!

I'm looking for an applescript or app that will let me select files and then MOVE (not copy) them to another selected folder.

???

Thanks!

Anytime you are dragging files from one location to another, press and hold Option once you begin the drag. This will make the drag perform the other function.

If it's normally a move, Option will make it a copy.
If it's normally a copy, Option will make it a move.

Hope that helps.

Wow - VERY helpful - surprised I missed that keyboard shortcut.

Speaking of which, do you know of a great resource for other handy mac keyboard shortcuts? I'm starting to compile a list for myself ... Thanks again!

Sorry to hijack the thread. I wanted to MOVE a file from desktop to external drive, I pressed cmd+drag, but it was still a COPY action. Could anyone please help?

EDIT: sorry, it was sorted out.
