Is this the right memory to get for the new iMacs?

I just ordered the 3.1GHz 27", and I want to bump it to 8GB. I want to make sure I'm getting the right memory for it. Would this be the right type to get?

NO, those are standard desktop chips. The iMac uses 204-pin SODIMM (notebook) RAM. It is probably a safe assumption that the new iMacs will use the same RAM as the previous models, so just check crucial.com or macsales.com for the correct specs.

Good to know. I wasn't sure if it was desktop or laptop memory in the iMac.
