View Full Version : Audio Delay on iMac G5 Line Out

When I swap out my external speakers from the back of the computer with a set of headphones (and vice versa) it takes about a minute until I hear any sound. Is this a common problem?

It shouldn't take a full minute, but it normally takes mine a few seconds to recognize a plug-in.

Granted, I'm usually maxed out on RAM and CPU power with Garageband when I swap cables. But a full minute?... Hopefully it's just a software issue that'll get sorted out in future updates.

It's normal; the more cpu/ram you're using, the longer it'll take.
