Help setting a price for a used eMac?

Hello! I recently joined. I hope this is the right place to ask my question. :)

I'm looking to sell my eMac. I paid about $1,500 for it (including AppleCare) in May of 2003, and I've spent about $275 on it since then (memory upgrade, Airport Card, and Photoshop Elements). It's covered under AppleCare until May 2006, and it's in excellent condition. I've never had a single problem with it. It's used daily, but the usage is general and light. Here are specs...

1 GHz Power PC G4, original discs and guides included. I also have the original packaging still.

*80 GB hard drive & 512 MB SDRAM
*Already installed AirportExtreme Card
*Super Drive (DVD-R/CD-RW) - plays and burns DVDs and CDs
*Apple Care Plan - good through 05/06 (service and phone support)
*Apple keyboard and mouse
*Mac OS X 10.2.8 (includes iChat, iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, Safari, iCal)
*Photoshop Elements 2.0
*USB port hub (separate, originally $20)


I've been looking for similar used Macs, but I've never made a sale like this before and it's hard to tell since I can't find an eMac with the exact specs.

What do you think? I would like to get as much as possible for it, and I'm not under any pressure to sell it right away. Thanks for any advice. :)

Everymac.com suggests $650-700 for this machine.

With the extra bits and pieces, you could maybe stretch a bit higher than that.

On eBay at least anyway, eMacs equipped like yours fetch somewhere in the $700-800 range. Hopefully you'll be able to get a fair price for it however you end up selling it. :)

If you want to get a good price tell the buyers how good your mac is, take 5-7 photos of it. Make sure you explane your usage and how that you had no problems with it what so ever. I think you should delete some of teh software that you installed since you will not get a good price on them if they come with the mac and just use it your self.

Thanks for the advice! :) About the last bit, do you mean that I shouldn't sell the eMac with Photoshop Elements, just keep it for myself? :)

What i mean is that if you sell Photoshop elements by itself you will get more. Selling software with you desktop such as
$600 worth of software will not mean +$600 on the price on the desktop. It is best ifyou delete the programs from your mac then sell it so that you can install them on your new mac/pc.
