I need peoples advice on a Free APP that we are considering of developing.
I work for a major carrier in the UK and have been in charge of a new voice development project.
Now here is the idea.
It will be a voice calling app that can work in 2 modes. Simple outbound calling with some of the cheapest rates around in the world. eg. UK - 1c/min, USA - 1c/min, Ireland 1c/min + 8 other countries at 1c/min.
You can also purchase a USA or UK Number for only $1/month. Or 49 other countries at various rates.
This will be over Wifi, Alternatively if you do not have wifi, then you can call our local access number from your included minutes directly from in app and the app will automatically authenticate itself, then put the call through.
The App could also work like this.
Same as above, but you can accept multiple calls, forward calls on, put customers on hold, send to voice mail etc etc (effectively an advance business line in your pocket.... included for free in the service!)
As we are one of the few carriers in the world to have a direct interconnect with nearly every major carrier in that country meaning our calls will be of the highest standard. Additionally rates will be almost unbeatable! (Very close to what many people see at wholesale rates)
We are also thinking of launching either an unlimited UK & USA package for $5/min or discounted product where you pay $1/month and get rates such as 0.8c/min to UK and USA.
Please also give us your thoughts and facilitates you would like to see in this app.
