Timer with Sections 4.5

The 'Timer with Sections' supports you during your performance (e.g., a talk or keynote speech, a seminar or lecture, a workout) by providing intuitively visualized timing information.

With Timer you structure time into sections. During the performance the schedule can be adjusted by intuitive swipe gestures, moving time across sections. Other features are shrinkable and expandable sections, organizing schedules, logging of consumed time, skipped time and paused time, optionally setting a fixed start time and an alarm option for each section.

Timer is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 4.1 or better.

New in Version 4.5:

TV OUT: Timer now renders its intuitive visualization to an external display (or beamer). A great feature to have a timer displayed to a class during a test.

New version

Version 4.6 has been released.

New in Version 4.6:
- Bugfix: Version 4.5 of the app did crash if sections were added or removed from a performance while the same performance was running in background. This bug was introduced in Version 4.5. I am sorry. In case you did submit your bug report as part of an AppStore review, please update your review. Please contact the developer if you have further questions.
- Local Notifications: If the app is suspended to background (pressing the home button) during a running presentation, you will receive a notification at the end of each section for which the alarm option is set. Note that notifications only appear if the alarm option is set and you only receive notifications for a running performance.

New in Version 4.5:
- TV Out improvements: The timer visualizations will continue on the external screen even if you switch to another view in the timer app. This feature can be useful if you want to prepare the next performance. Note: The visualization on the external screen cannot be updated while the app is suspended to background.
- Landscape mode: On the iPad the app rotates to landscape (may be disabled via the corresponding iOS switch).

New in Version 4.3
- Duplicate the definition of a performance by tapping "Options" in the performance list view.
- TV Out: Timer will render its visualization on an external screen, if attached (e.g. to a beamer).
- Improved user interface (UI).
- Improved German localization.

New in Version 4.2
- Improved launching of the app.

New in Version 4.1
- iPad compatibility: this is a universal app. Current users get the iPad compatibility for free.
- iOS 4.2 compatibility: the app now uses some features of iOS 4.2.
- Exports your data (section definitions) via mail using the button in the "About Timer" view.
- Imports definition from a mail, e.g. to Timer on another iOS device.
- Shows total time in section setup.
- Minimum requirement is iOS 4.2

Version 4.12 has been released.

Version 4.12 of Timer with Sections 4.5 brings some minor fixes (e.g. fixes a layout problem on iPods with iOS 4.2.1).

The upcoming version 5.1 will bring better alarm options (add custom sound files and use them as an alarm).
