apple tabbing out of game?

is there a way to apple tab out of a game? or is the only way to access the desktop during a full screen game on a mac to quit the game? thanks!

Well that depends on a game. Some can hide/minimize and some cannot.

World of warcraft is the main game I'd like to be tabbing out of.

It's not quite tabbing out of games, but for most games you'll have to switch into Windowed-mode, then you can tab out. The only company that actually let's you tab out without switching to windowed mode is Feral, I think. Some of the MacSoft ports do that, too. But other than that, not too many.

For Blizzard games, I'm quite sure it's command + M.

Other games it's usually command + H.
