This game works with the Mac and it's very, very addictive.
I don't think it's as popular over in US as it is here in the UK but you should really look it up.
Basically, you play as a football(soccer) manager, able to pick a club to manage more or less any club conceivable, and you can buy players, make tactics, train your players etc.
Very good game and worth playing if you're a Mac only gamer.

Definitely one of my favourites too, and very addictive.
IMO, the best way to play the game is to start off with a smaller club and work your way up the leagues. The less fashionable the club and the less money you have for transfers, the greater the challenge! :D

From what I understand, there's the American version of FM2005 called Worldwide Soccer Manager 2005. I don't know if there are any differences between that games. And it is a hybrid PC/Mac disc.

Tried the demo, but it wasn't that big improvement over CM4, which I is the only game I really play, so I didn't upgrade...

Anybody playing this on a powerbook? How's the performance?
I just ordered my first Mac (a 15" pb, 1.67MHz, 1GB RAM, 128VRAM) and would like to know how well it can handle the game.

It'll work great.
It works well on my 12" PB (1 GHz, 768 MB RAM), although I normally only run 1 nation and about three leagues. The play in background option also makes the game feel a lot zippier.
Here are some great players for not huge prices:
Rafael van der Vaart (AM LC)
Carlos Tevez (SC)
Fernando Cavenaghi (SC)
Vincent Kompany (DC/DMC)
Steward Downing (AML)
Freddy Adu (AM LC)
Daniel Bierofka (AM LRC)
Nigel de Jong (D LRC)
Anthony Vanden Borre (DRC)
