When my macbook goes inactive for enough time to go to sleep mode, or I close it, the wifi gets screwed up. Every time it goes to sleep, airport says it has a strong connection, but it actually doesn't work. What's happening is every time it sleeps/goes into standby, it forgets the WEP passcode, no matter what. How can I fix this?

So... the problem is only that it's forgetting the password and asking you to enter it again? Unlock the keychain that has the network password in it. The is, open Keychain Access, find the password entry for your wireless network, and then unlock the keychain that contains it.
