Permissions on Share Points

Hey guys,

I have created a sharepoint of around 500gb for a school, however I can't see to get the permissions to work correctly.

I am wondering if anybody has a good guide of how to do it, I'm basicly trying to hide the Sharing and Permission box on the Information pane, I have tried unticking "Read Permissions" on the permission window within the sharepoint menu.

Just a followup, because I copied the files from a NTFS share, the permissions were screwed, as such everything was being let through regardless. I had to reassign permissions to everything, bad times!
