Anyone have experience with this brand of devices ?

I currently have a PS3 and in light of recent events am considering selling the device and getting something else and if I can get a device that can rip blu-ray as well I am open to it.

Do you mean ripping as in dumping the discs in to a container or re-encoding?

Technically it should be fine for the former, but I don't see any mention of the OS that it runs. Since it's just an x86 machine I suppose you could just install Windows. I have no idea how that CPU would take to encoding, I'm guessing probably not that well.

You install your own OS. I would likely just to the ripping.

For the record, I have no idea how it would even handle playback, let alone ripping-I was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts.

Then yeah, it would be fine.

I'm guessing that PowerDVD (which it apparently comes with) with push all the decoding to the discrete GPU.
