Need a File Browse App over the VPN/Network 3g/wifi and edit

Is there such a thing?

I tried Netportal and it doesn't seem to show all the shared folders on our network, and File Browser is only available for the ipad. Is there such a thing that allows us to view the files, open them, edit them in WORD/EXCEL, etc and resave them back to the network?
