I know this has been discussed before but just for the new members. Also, I want to see how things work for people. This is mine:

PowerMac 1.8 SP G5 (Original) + Apple Wireless Keyboard & Mouse + Airport Extreme + Bluetooth + 768mb RAM + Beefy 2.1 Creative Speakers -> OS X

iBook 366 SE + 320mb RAM + Airport Card -> OS X

iMac 233mhz Rev. B + 288mb RAM + USB Belkin Wireless Dongle + Standard Apple Keyboard & Mouse -> OS 9

Edit: I have an iPod mini too! 4GB

Airport Extreme Base Station + HP Printer Attached

2mbit ADSL Broadband Connection.

Things I would change: I want to get rid of the iMac, but it's not really worth selling on ebay. I love my iBook, it was my first Mac. But at the moment in a VERY long time I really am happy with my main Mac (the G5). Want to get rid of old iMac and replace with a newer iMac (the fanless variety about 500mhz). Also I really need a decent laptop. My poor iBook has lost its way. :D

With any luck, the rev b PowerBook G5 (dcG4?) will be out by Spring next year. Then I'll give my daughter my PB for school and upgrade.

Apple II+ 128 k ram. printer card with IBM thermal inkjet printer. Hayes 1200 baud modem. Green scale monitor. Two 5 1/2 floppy drives. Baby screams. Oh wait this isn't 1982.

currently using dual 1.25 g4 with all the bells and whistles. What sucks is that Apple II+ was more expensive than my current setup. Whats funny is that the computer will still boot. But I seem to have forgoten most of the basic commands to make it do something.

I'm using a 12" 1.33 GHz Superdrive PowerBook G4 here. It's my first Mac, as well as my first laptop. I sold my old PC (Athlon 2000+, 512 RAM, 300 GB HDD, etc) to my brother, and now have a VIA 800 MHz Mini-ITX machine that I use on the rare occasion that I need some Windows software, as well as to play around with Linux.

I expect that my next computer will be either an iMac G5, or possibly a PowerMac, depending on how much money I have when I finally decide to get a new desktop. For reference, the first computer I ever used extensively was a Compaq 8086 machine. First Mac I used regularly was a Mac II (still have both machines, both still work just great, still use the Mac II for games occasionally).

Syncing iCal and Address Book data to my Sony Ericsson T68i using my Kensington Bluetooth USB dongle (was stupid enough to NOT get the built-in Bluetooth module :()

Have set up an Airport Express connected to my ADSL router and a ONKYO surround receiver (http://www.onkyo.net/uk/cms/products/formerprod/fp_hometh/0500-TXDS484/). (Also have an old Airport Base, so my girlfriend can connect her Pismo with its Airport (802.11b) card.)

That's a sweet set up (mine's almost exactly the same :D ) Just one question, couldn't the Pismo use the Express? Why do you need an old Airport? I've only ever used 802.11g stuff on my network so I haven't ever had any troubles.

I've only ever used 802.11g stuff on my network so I haven't ever had any troubles.The Pismos only use the old type Airport cards, which is 802.11b. Of course the Pismo could use the express, as 802.11g is backwards compatible with b, but the problem with this is that when one single 802.11b device connects to a g-network ALL connections scales down to b-speed. Therefore I've sat the Airport Express to g-only.

Naturally, I don't really get any advantages from this, since my ADSL at 1.5 Mbps is slower than even b-speed, 11 Mbps theoretically about 5.5 Mbps in practice, but what the he...y I had an old Airport Base (on loan) and two wireless networks in the living room, both covering the whole house on seperate channels, are cooler than just one. Only one WiFi network is just so ordinary... :cool: :p
