Sounds like a udev game i downloaded a while back called Kill Dr. Cote. Very addictive and great fun, plus that one was free.

Freeverse teamed up with Justin Fic (developer of Kill Dr. Cote) for the creation of this game. There are more levels and monsters then in KDC. I also think that the graphics/game play and audio have been enhanced.

I liked it :D
