sony's flash players look cool, but come on, they are priced more than the shuffle, so really it is a no brainer which one most of the people are going to go with

sony really isnt getting this whole digital music stuff, its sad because they could be one of the biggest competitors to Apple, but they really have nothing

The one thing the Sony players do have is the very cool OLED display on the NW-E405 (who names these things?) which is the obviously a Shuffle competitor. However, the button layout, especially on the audio jack seems problematic. Sony can build good designs, but they haven't quite wrapped their head around the Mp3 player market, one I believe includes a camera?!
And I agree the prices are far too high—more than $200 for a Shuffle with a radio.

Frankly, I think their mp3 player looks better than the ipod shuffle, although they definately need a lower price (However, it does have a nice little OLED display which the shuffle doesn't).

If Apple hasn't been feeling the pressure in the digital music market, it surely must be aware of it now.

LOL, yeah right.

I am so tired of this one:

...and it has an FM radio...

Having a FM radio in a MP3 player is utter nonsense.
Who right in his mind would listen to the radio with commercials, news stories and all that stuff and HOPE to hear a good tune now and then, if he could listen to the songs he carries around right away? And each of those is a favourite!
Screw the radio, I say, Apple is right on this one.

I would.

The radio has a lot of funny content, good music and news. Also my favourite radio station doesn't have many ads either.
