Resolved Problem with MAIL app

Ok, before I got mobileme, I had my gmail and a couple other accounts going to apple mail on two different computers. one at work, one at the house. i've since signed up for apple mail.

with one of my mail accounts, set up as POP (gmail based), whenever i pull up mail (again, now i have mobileme), if I read an email on one computer, it wont even pull the read message up on the other computer. is this just part of it?

yea thats what i figured. do i need to reset it up? when I go in to view the accounts, it doesn't let me adjust that its POP

EDIT: the part that's getting me worst of all is when I go and click "add account" on the + button, it automatically sets it up, and never gives me the option to change it.

i had to go to my gmail settings in my web browser and disable POP, then apple automatically set it as IMAP when i went in and added a new account.
