iPad 2 can't detemine location from WiFi?

I've connected to three different wifi networks with my new iPad 2 (no 3G) and each time I've gotten "Cannot Determine Location" when trying to connect to maps or anything else location-based.

Is it possible it's a problem with the networks? Or could it be something wrong with the iPad?

Note: I have an iPod touch that determines location just fine on the same network.
