A consortium of huge corporations that includes Micro$oft has determined that Linux is bad. How is this news? That's like a consortium of hamburger chains announcing that vegetarianism is not good for you.

Yeah, I don't get this one either... Microsoft has been backing Linux forever now, and now they turn around and say this... backstabbers! :)

I'm assuming you're being sarcastic.

So a corporate cartel tells you note you use the little guy (your competiton which conveniently doesn't follow your strict for-profit service scheme).

How can Microsoft tell any of their competitors they aren't secure enough? Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black.

If anything this consortium and announcement means that they are afraid of Linux and it's ability to make gains into this area.

Am I the only one to notice that IBM (certainly something of a player in the enterprise environment) has not joined the cartel-of-do-gooders denouncing Linux. IBM is now backing PHP and Linux. Sweet, though I don't expect them to ship too many machines with IBM apps running on MySQL.

Hmmmm. Those on the cartel list are all stuffed neatly into Microsoft's back pocket.

Let's interview Kirstie Alley about her new Showtime TV sitcom, "Fat Actress."

Question: "Uh, Kirstie. Did you get fat just for the TV show?"
Kirstie: "Of course. I looked more like Paris Hilton before."

I snorted coffee all over my keyboard when I read this. That's the funniest thing I've read in ages.

Bravo, AA!

I had no idea the people at Microsoft, et al. had a sense of humour.

Cheers
