Hi Guys,

Just got my MBP a day ago and am wondering if it is ok to leave the macbook always plugged in to power when using it? I only take the power cord out at night after I shut down the laptop. Otherwise it is always on my desk plugged in during the day (sometimes sleeping and sometimes on).

WOuld this be ok and not damage the battery?

It's fine. When I am home from college mine is pretty much 95 percent of the time plugged into the wall and used as a desktop.

If your using the battery try and not keep the brightness up all the way, turn of Bluetooth if not using it, and try and turn the keyboard off.

I also keep mine plugged in 95% of the time and it's always been fine (I've done this on all my laptops). Like was said above, once in a while run it halfway down or so. Also, they say you should calibrate it every few months, which requires running it all the way down.
