I just noticed that the manufacturer of the RAM that came with it is "0x80CE."

Anyone know who this even is? I searched it and just found equally puzzled people.

Thanks.

EDIT: Did further searching and found that it is possibly Samsung. Can anyone confirm this?

You could open the MBP to find out if you really want to know for sure. I don't really see what is the benefit though, there is no need to use the same brand RAM or anything like that.

My 15" 2011 MBP came with Samsung RAM if I remember correctly. Replaced it with G.Skill.
