Battery and magsafe

Hi guys, I've had my macbook pro for a while now and it tells me I need to service my battery. I am getting a new battery this week. but i have looked at the end of my charger and the charging port and it looks a little burnt and corroded, I also have trouble getting it to charge sometimes. My question is, Do I need to but a new magsafe charger along with the battery
