Hi everyone. I know that Macs in general cannot support an internal Blu-Ray Drive unless you really want to void the warrenty and ready to open up your Mac. Will external drives work with a Mac? Can anyone recommend me a good external blu-ray Writer/player that can play and write DL-Blu-Ray disks. Thank you for your answers in advance.

Just get any DL Blu-ray burner and put it into a 5.25" enclosure that has an internal SATA connector. I use Toast for my burning, but some drives are supported under OS X's native burning (but I don't know which ones are).

For Blu-ray disc playback under OS X, you have to use MakeMKV's streaming server to VLC. Or just rip to the hard drive. Otherwise, you need to install Windows.
