Recently my friend, as a birthday gift, sent me a copy of his windows 7 home premium family pack in an iso format stored in a hard drive. I tried just burning the whole iso into a DVD+R disk and then tried the bootcamp but it didn't work and i got the message on a black screen "Insert bootable drive and press any key to continue". Later, I tried burning just all the file contents to another DVD+R disk but still get the same error :( Can Somebody Help Pls?:confused:

Open up Disk Utility
Drag the ISO into the Sidebar
Pop a Blank DVD in
Select the .ISO you dragged into the Sidebar
Click Burn

Actually, what he gave you is likely a corrupt ISO file. You could download Windows using the link and then use the key he gave you. However, it is still pirated software as he does not have the right to give you a copy.
You should buy a full version if you want to use it.

Thanks checked it up with him he said mayb its corrupted but since you said its considered pirated then i won't use it :D you see i dont use the computer much just for casual web browsing and occasionally some games so im not that desperate. I also don't see the need of using illegal stuff :) I can pretty much afford windows 7 if i wanna so thx guys

Yes, but he is not family.... You can't give a license to someone outside of your household.
