Hi guys!

Which of the following pair of ram should i buy for my 2011 MBP 2.0Ghz:

Corsair 2 x 4 GB 1333 mhz CL9 - CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 (115 USD):

Crucial 2 x 4 GB 1333 mhz CL9 - CT2KIT51264BC1339 (140 USD)
http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4940812

Kingston HyperX PnP 1600 mhz CL9 (1333 mhz CL8) - KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G (165 USD)
http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4974190

And while you are here. What should i expect for everyday-use with 8 gigs of ram instead of 4? Today I find my computer running slow with the following applications running simultaneul: VM-ware (with win7@Bootcamp), Safari, Itunes, Aperture & pages.

Will it be a good idea to buy 8 gigs of ram, or should i expect OSX Lion to be optimized for these Sandy Bridge - machines, and run flawless with 4 gigs.

Doesn't really matter. I'd get either the crucial or Corsair since they are cheaper. Lion will probably bring optimizations, but if your software eats memory (which yours does, specifically the VM and Aperture), you need more memory. There's nothing the OS can do about that.

Reason for not taking the Corsair?

So is there any reason for not taking the corsair?

Just heard at couple of guys (maybe only 1 actually) complaining about these chips on a Macbook Pro 2011.

But on the other hand corsair always has been a good brand concerning memory.

Just want to make sure that everything works as supposed.

Could also get these fra Ebay - Germany (115 USD + shipping)

Would these chips be bettter than the corsair?

I have the Kingston HyperX and so far so good. I had initially purchased the Crucial ones, but exchanged them for the HyperX. The reviews for HypeX are good, if your willing to spend the extra cash.

Are you sure? According to Intel I am quite sure it is only the 2.2 Ghz and 2.3 Ghz that will run 1600mhz.

So the question is, whether it's a good idea to buy some 1600ghz modules for a 1333mhz machine.

There is a whole thread on it if you have doubts. You will see how many people have used the 1600mhz for months with no problems. The 1867mhz won't work properly in the 2011 MBP.

Seems like the guys there everybody has the 2.2 ghz, which officially supports 1600mhz.

My 2.0ghz does not, so i think it's a gamble to buy some 1600mhz.

Have anybody tried the corsair-sticks?
