Is there a way to copy photos(JPEG or RAW) from CF card directly to iPad 2?

There is a Chinese company that made an adapter called MIC CF card adapter for iPad 2.
However, it literally fried the connector on my friend's iPad 2. Twice.... :( The first
time the Apple Store replaced the iPad 2. The Chinese company sent a new replacement
MIC CF adapter. It worked well for a few days, until the connector fried again. this time
it also killed a Sandisk Extreme III 16GB CF card. The Apple Store refused to replace
or even repair my friend's iPad 2.

There has got to be a better way to do this right? :(

Thanks for any info! :)

There is no authorised accessory for direct CF imports. You need to use the USB cable from your camera and the camera connector kit.

I only got my iPad(64GB 3G AT&T) today.... got the Apple connection kit
from Best Buy as well...

Unfortunately, the iPad would not recognize my Canon D7 DSLR connected via
USB, no matter what I tried. I read in other photo forums that it's a hit or miss
with Canon DSLRs. :(

The connection kit worked fine when I connect it via USB to my cheap $99
drugstore digital camera which I keep in my glovebox. :D (but then again,
no need to do that as it uses SD cards)

Interesting! Thanks fir the heads up!

Just spoke with my friend who had the two unfortunate iPad frying incidents...

He went to another Apple Store after making a new appointment. This store's
Genius didn't say anything and just exchanged it with a brown box replacement
iPad. (to be honest, I think what my friend did was a little dishonest, as it was
a third-party accessory that killed his iPad... but then again.... )
