I originally thought it was the wire that was dodgy, but it turns out after switching wires it's the iPod. When i plug it in, sometimes it recognises it's plugged into a computer, sometimes it doesn't. When i move it around, that changes rapidly. So if i plug it in, then set it down, it could change a few times in that space of time.
Anybody had this happen before, and any ideas? My 1st gen iPod Touch's audio jack broke by itself too (makes for a pretty useless ipod if you can't hear anything) so i'm not too happy about this.
