i downloaded the DVD, burned the ISO to a DVD, and i can't get the CD to boot, and OS X dosen't recognize it, but my PC does, i tried using the FC3 boot loader, but that didn't work, any ideas? I'm using a Quicksilver '02
 
So you downloaded an ISO on an x86 machine (Windows or otherwise), burned it to a DVD and now it's not showing up on your Mac. Is that what happened? I'm just clarifying because I'm pretty sure the PPC version wouldn't come down as an ISO but rather a DMG, but I could be wrong and I don't know all that much on the subject.
 
i downloaded it on a PC, sent it to my Mac, then burned it to a DVD on my mac, and i'm positive it's the PPC version, if i open it up it has all the PPC files (i can explore it on my PC, but the mac won't recognize it)
 
go to disc utility, drag the ISO to the bottom of the side bar where all the HDs etc. are, then click the burn button
 
Hey, I;ve been having a hard time getting my hands on a Full Copy of the DVD... Do you mind pointing me to where you downloaded yours??

Just to echo what this poster said... I made the mistake of using Toast to burn an ISO and was having the same problem you describe, but using the Disc Utility to burn the ISO worked. Granted, it was Gentoo I was installing, but I believe it should be the same procedure for Fedora.
 
OK, i booted from the boot.iso, and i checked the DVD, it passed, then i got this error after anaconda started:
mini-wm: Fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on X server :1.0.

But on that site it only sows x86 based downloads. 32 and 64Bit version but no one for the PPC 😕

Edit: just a test release maby that is why you are having problems
 
i can boot from aa boot.iso file, then i put in the fedora core DVD, and then it gives me that erroe message...
