I just received a letter from MBNA about my Apple Instant Loan.

It included the usual blank checks, but near the bottom it said:

Check the savings. Buy a mac or Mac OSX and add up the savings. Use your available credit to purchase an iMac, iBook, PowerBook, or Power Mac or Mac OSE system software anytime by October 15, 2002, and get over 20 great deals.

I know what everything is except for "Mac OSE system software".

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Quark

I thought it might be education related, but the OS part of it threw me off.

I am inclined to believe GeeYouEye -- that it is a typo.

Then again, maybe it is an unreleased version of the OS... hmmm... that would be neat.

Maybe something to go along with the "Mac-to-Mobile" stuff that Apple is doing.

Of course that is just wishfull thinking.

Call them and say you want to order a copy of Mac OSE. See what they say.

Remember the original Performa? That came with System 7.0.1P. Remember the Performa 4xx series? System 7.1P(2 or 3).

Now we have the eMac.

But I'm inclined to say that it was a typo, since 10.2.1E would sound more likely.
