Hello,
I am running Snow Leopard and my terminal does not recognize the make command. I have been told that I need the developer tools.
Is it any of these? http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/development_tools/
Or do I need xcode4 (Which costs money?)
Currently, my /etc/paths.d has an x11 file that reads
"
/usr/X11/bin
"
Thank you,
Cody

Xcode is developer tools. You can either get Xcode 4 from the Mac App Store, or download Xcode 3.2.6 from developer.apple.com.

make should be in /usr/bin/make

Check echo $PATH to check if /usr/bin is included.

But you will need a compiler anyway so install XCode.

You could also download Make from here (http://www.gnu.org/software/make/).
