How to restore iphone apps from my ‘mobile applications’ folder of my computer?

I’ve recently upgraded my iphone 2G to version 3.1.3 (using Redsn0w) but the apps that I had purchased through iTunes are missing (and cannot get them back because they are old versions and the new versions require a newer iphone model that I have). I have the todo file (Todo 1.6.1 iphone/ipod touch/ipad App) in the "Mobile Applications" folder of my computer. How can I restore Todo in my iphone from that folder? Since I’m not computer savvy, I’d appreciate if anyone can tell me step by step what I should do.
