My friend shared her (Google) calendar with me and I subscribed to it in iCal. Under info, I have it set up for mobileme as the location. I've checked the boxes that say remove alarms, attachments and to do items. I don't get alerts in iCal on my iMac but they come up on my iPhone. Is there any way to fix this?

I had originally tried to subscribe to the calendar on my iPhone and I could go into Settings > Calendars and turn off alerts there. The problem with that was that it seemed to be a big resource hog. When I opened up the calendar app on my iPhone, scrolling around the calendar was difficult and it appeared to be a big drain on my battery. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if subscribing to her calendar directly on my iPhone was the cause but it all seems to have stopped draining my battery now that I have it going through iCal & Mobileme.
