MBA to controll MM

I have a C2D MM connected to the living room tv, and use a wireless mouse/keyboard. My girlfirend hates this setup.

Is there an easy way to use a MBA to download movies/music to my TC, and use the MBA to tell the MM to play a specific file from the TC?

She just thinks it too hard to read the files on the screen from the couch.

Any help/advice would be great!

I hate this setup too - top many acronyms. OMGWTFBBQ! ;-)

The only one I know is ...TV. OK, not entirely true - I got Time Capsule too. It's probably just me that doesn't get the acronyms since I am a PC guy....except for my Mini (hey, that must be what an MM is!).

Use the Mac's built in screen sharing, it's been part of the OS since 2007. I use it all the time to control my Mac mini from other parts of the house.

Your Mac mini desktop will show up on your MBA.

Note:
If your mini is hooked up to a 1080p tv, it's going to appear tiny on your MBA screen.
